Thunderstorms, Grid Position Penalties... Here's the French Grand Prix Preview

After nearly losing the event for 2008 the French Grand Prix returns to the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. The French Grand Prix includes 70 laps over a 4.411 km (2.741 mile) circuit for a total race distance of 308.586 km (191.747 miles). The fast lap record holder is Michael Schumacher in 2004 with a time of 1:15.377.

Past top three finishes at Magny-Cours include: Raikkonen, Massa, Hamilton (2007), M. Schumacher, Alonso, Massa (2006), Alonso, Raikkonen, M. Schumacher (2005), M. Schumacher, Alonso, Barrichello (2004), and R. Schumacher, Montoya, M. Schumacher (2003).

This race should promise to be exciting with Kubica on top of the standings, Hamilton and Massa tied for second and Raikkonen in third. If Raikkonen is still fuming from the pit crash in Montreal, he will be more aggressive than ever. Also, don't forget that Hamilton will be penalized 10 grid position because of his poor pit lane driving. Should he be counted out or will he battle back?
